The moon is stuck. Sunlight is a distant memory. And the Night Mother, who once represented harmony between the living and the dead, has been thwarted by the girl who lives in the graveyard named Madeline Tock. But after their daring escape to the Moon, Maddy and her new friend, Nura, have accidentally shattered the Night Mother’s lantern, and the stolen souls within it have escaped—including the soul of Maddy’s father.
