It redefined both fairy tales and body horror, stunned audiences at Sundance, was nominated for an Oscar® and remains a "cinematically exhilarating" (Vulture), "playfully grotesque" (Indiewire) and "undeniably vicious piece of entertainment" (RogerEbert.com). Now you can experience the "jaw-dropping debut" (Paste Magazine) by writer/director Emilie Blichfeldt on physical media for the first time ever in North America: In this grisly reinterpretation of Cinderella, a young maiden - an unforgettable performance by Lea Myren - will submit to a series of increasingly brutal cosmetic extremes to win the love of a less-than-charming prince. "THE UGLY STEPSISTER is surreal, brilliant, masterfully crafted and one of the best horror movies of the year."
