Gary Gerani is an award winning fiction and non-fiction writer, screenwriter, filmmaker, art director, editor, publisher, and prolific film/TV historian. He's also known as the " Card King," having developed hundreds of entertainment products for Topps and related companies for half a century. In 1988, Gerani co-wrote the screenplay for PUMPKINHEAD with his fellow Brooklyn Scribe, Mark Patrick Carducci.

The Pumpkinhead Companion follows the path of one of this film's creators, screenwriter Gary Gerani, from the demon's earliest incarnation in 1970's Brooklyn (co-conceived with buddy MArk Patrick Carducci), to his cinematic rebirth as Pumpkinhead a decade later. It also tracks the movie's production, with recollections and rare materials from poem writer Ed Justin, producers Billy Blake and Richard Weinmanm the late Stan Winston himself, and original creature creators Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr.

Beyond this, all of the efforts to create a new film incarnation of the Demon of Revenge are covered, with original material by Winston, Gerani, and Weinman featured. Licensed products and other tie-ins are also overviewd, and these include everything from posters to T-Shirts to various comic book adaptations and high end collector's status.
