Pokemon! Monsters for your pocket! Originally a videogame published by Nintendo, Pokemon continues to be highly popular with kids of all ages since 1996. Pokemon centers around the idea of Pokemon Trainers who go out into the world to collect and train Pokemon, animals capable of amazing abilities. The videogames center around this and the same idea happens in the manga and anime that originally followed a young pokemon trainer named Ash Ketchum who wants to be a pokemon master.
A trading card game (TCG) along with guide books, plush toys, bags, keychains and other merchandise has been made for Pokemon. Card albums, pocket protectors and deck holders have all been made to go along with the highly popular TCG. Reprints of the original manga series have also been reproduced by Viz Media for those interested in the classic story that started us all off!
