Gundam essentially pioneered the mecha anime genre, giving rise to so many other giant robot manga and anime titles. These mobile suits have appeared in over twenty separate series through TV, Movies, and Manga. Gundams are so popular that many of the mobile suits have been made into model kits that fans of Gunpla can build themselves to keep a piece of their favorite Gundam right in their room!
