At once funny, surreal, and psychedelic, 1-800 MICE explores the world of Volcano Park and its intriguing residents, including Peace Punks, Mice Messengers, and Tree People. Thurber’s scratchy, expressive linework nearly bursts out of the panels, describing whole worlds in single pages. This one is sort of like a punky-hippy Hobbit.
